With the help of a local dentist, Dr. Pham, and transportation provided by Furama Resort, we provided dental treatment to 45 children in a Da Nang orphanage. The first day, with my daughter, Michelle helping me translate, we conducted dental exams to access the needs of the children and hand out toys to smiling faces.

The next couple of days were spent in Dr. Pham's office providing dental treatment and on the trip home we always stopped for ice cream. One 12 year old girl, Thanh, didn't like to smile because she had a "black spot" on her front teeth. After one trip to the dental office, she was a smiling again and I was reminded why I enjoy these trips so much.
