Since 1999, Aid For Kids ` has been arranging Dental Outreach Programs to provide dental care to children in orphanages, street children centers and in high poverty stricken areas where dental hygiene is almost unknown.

Working with Joy Degenhardt, Director of International Development, we visited the Center of Rehabilitation which support handicap children in Ho Chi Minh to access the children’s dental needs. The center has the support of a dozen nurses but they provide no dental care. With their help we provided dental exams of the children - several with severe physical and mental disabilities.

Also, the facility has an empty room that is dedicated to a future dental operatory in need of donated equipment. Dao and I will look into providing some much needed equipment.
